As you may have already have experienced at a GITC event, Guitars in the Classroom is fortunate to benefit from the support of very fine, charitably minded artists who are dedicated to bringing more music making to schools. Some are well known to you and others’ stars are rising as you read. GITC gladly welcomes any artist who wants to make a difference for children in the schools to join our musical team. In 2015, the super-accomplished Craig Chaquico has begun contributing his talent to this work.

Community and education-minded performers who advocate for GITC like our Youth Ambassador of Music in the Schools, Cody Lovaas are reaching out directly to kids in GITC schools.CODY AT NH They are inspiring thousands of students through monthly school concerts in schools with several participating GITC classroom teachers. They also stop into individual classrooms to write songs with the kids. This kind of person to person service truly changes lives.
