We LOVE Music Stores that Make GITC Welcome!

Above: Mark's Guitar Exchange in San Diego, California welcomes GITC teachers and donates instruments to our programs!
GITC brings music to learning in communities of every size and sort. Some are rural, some are very remote, others are in large urban centers and just a few are suburban.

In each community our trainers identify music stores that care about their customers.
In these stores, first time music shoppers and children are welcome to take their time holding and strumming different instruments until they find one that fits just right.

When we find a store that makes newcomers to music feel welcome, relaxed, and encouraged to take their time asking questions, we like to send folks in their direction.

Once a music store affiliates with GITC, you can count on finding someone behind the counter there who knows about GITC's local programs.

This page is devoted to these wonderful music retailers! We will be adding a full list of recommended music stores.

If you are a teacher or school staff person taking classes with us,
or a family member with a child in a GITC classroom, please be sure to mention Guitars in the Classroom when you go in.

Thanks to all you music retailers, manufacturers and music products distributors who care about making music accessible to students
and to music stores who make music shopping a positive experience for teachers, students and our first time players!
