Please Join Us and Make a Real Difference
With you time, intention, and generosity, our community will be able to bestow the treasures that music delivers right into the classrooms around the nation. These include learning, musical ability, joy, creativity, inspiration, focus, and connection to teachers and peers, and… in a very real way, enrichment of their hearts and minds. Make no mistake. This work is essential. Life is often tough, school can be a difficult experience, and integrating music has the capacity to help children rise to meet and overcome their day to day challenges. Singing helps them take heart, aim high, and conquer fears. It relieves anxiety caused by testing and social pressure. It helps them remember everything they learn in lyrics.
As a tool in loving hands, music can encourage students to reach out to others and also to reach in to tap their own resources. Strumming gives them the sensation of creating great sound, beauty, and artistic power. Singing helps them to express their thoughts and feelings, make friends and find their own voices. What could be better?
When you give to and through Guitars in the Classroom, you are making sure that thousands of children will fare better in this big world. And you are empowering their classroom teachers and specialists to continue giving through music year after year because the free training we give sticks.
Please donate whether you choose to do that now, one time, or contribute regularly to keep this work going and growing stronger. Every dollar helps fund music for two children.

Volunteer! Be a Shining Star for Children
Please consider volunteering with our organization. Many hands- and hearts- make light work, and we welcome you to the tribe of talented individuals making GITC artful, effective, and fun! Whatever you skills and interests, you’ll find an appreciative place to give to our children, our schools, and our future with Guitars in the Classroom. Whether you like to volunteer in a class, at a concert, in the office (ours or yours), or spread the word about GITC online, we have projects to share with you. To find out more and tell us about yourself, please write email@example.com or sign up at www.volunteermatch.org!
Donate a Guitar
Guitars in good condition are more than welcome in our programs, they are embraced! We are happy to take your gently used instrument and send it right to work in the schools. Some folks even buy a guitar for GITC and send it to us for use with the teachers and children. And thank goodness for the invaluable support from GITC advocates who work with leading companies and help our cause receive instrument donations each year! To arrange to contribute an instrument, please write to firstname.lastname@example.org.
GITC works with non-profit With Causes Charity Donations to receive funding donations of Cars, Trucks, Boats, Planes and Trains… well maybe not trains! With Causes will arrange to pick up your unwanted vehicle if they determine they can successfully refurbish it to sell for charity. They will provide you with all the paperwork you need to deduct this gift at tax time and GITC will receive the proceeds to fund our work.
