GITC friends Jim and Dara Crockett have chronicled the history of Guitar Player, the most successful music magazine in this gorgeous and insight provoking tribute to an era of incomparable creativity. A portion of the proceeds will benefit programs with Guitars in the Classroom.
The book features large format photographs by renowned music photographer, Jon Sievert and vivid recollections by prominent guitar players, including Joe Perry, George Benson, Pat Travers, Country Joe MScDonald, Pat Metheny, Steve Howe, Lee Ritenour, Johnny Winter, Steve Morse, Larry Coryell, Michael Lorimer, John McLaughlin, Stanley Clarke, Liona Boyd, Steve Vai, and many others.
“I love playing music and I’ve been doing it ever since I was ateenager,” said Chaquico. “I’m proud to support GITC and the great work they’re doing around the world to integrate music into all kinds of learning environments.”
Chaquico has a special interest in making music accessible to children with special needs. He works with an innovative instrument called The Beamz. GITC looks forward to working closely with Craig as we endeavor to help all students enjoy, learn and benefit from the power of music.
